Can I use a different font in my custom shop?

There are several different ways of importing a custom font to your Tic. It's important to know that the font must be hosted on an external server. Usually the font is hosted by a separate provider, but hosting it yourself is also an option.

1. We are going to use a font provided by Google over at Google Fonts. They are great because they have a huge selection and will supply you with the code to insert in your code.

2. When you have decided on a font, copy the code from Google Fonts.

It should look something like this:

<link href='' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css’>

Paste the string of code into the head section of your HTML code, preferably next to or replace the current font.

3. Now you will have to find and tell the CSS sections you want to use that font.

You will have to find the desired section and enter the name of the font you wish to use there.

body {font-family: 'OpenSans’, sans-serif;

In the example, we are styling all fonts in the body element have told the section to use Open Sans and have added sans-serif, just in case Open Sans for some reason wouldn't work.

There’s no limit of how many fonts you can add to your code, and you can use them in different parts of your website by adding particular HTML element like:

#footer {font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif;font-weight: 300;}
